We are an Italian fine-dining restaurant located in the heart of Melbourne CBD, and we are looking for a reliable and motivated Kitchen Hand / Dishwasher to join our professional kitchen team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment and takes pride in maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen.
About the Role
As a Kitchen Hand / Dishwasher, you will play an important role in supporting our chefs and ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly throughout service. Your responsibilities will include:
- Washing and sanitising dishes, cookware, utensils and kitchen equipment
- Keeping the dishwashing area, kitchen and storage areas clean and organised
- Assisting chefs with basic food preparation when required
- Ensuring rubbish and recycling are managed appropriately
- Cleaning kitchen floors, benches and equipment
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety
- Assisting with deliveries, stock movement and general kitchen duties
- Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Comfortable working in a busy, high-pressure environment
- Physically fit and able to remain on your feet for extended periods
- A team player with a positive attitude
- Well-presented and committed to maintaining high hygiene standards
- Willing to learn and take direction
- Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential for the right candidate
Experience in a fine-dining or Italian restaurant environment will be highly regarded.
