About the role
The purpose of this role is to provide high-level psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention to patients receiving care at Ipswich Hospital. The Ipswich Psychology Service delivers clinical, health, and neuropsychology services to adult and paediatric inpatients and outpatients of Ipswich Hospital and Community Health. This position provides clinical leadership within the hospital and community health.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
High level clinical expertise and skill within a health setting, including psychological assessment, formulation, and treatment skills.
Knowledge of the provision of psychology services in a community health and/or hospital-based service.
High level verbal and written skills in application to effective communication with patients, psychologists, and multi-disciplinary team members in a hospital and/or community health setting.
Commitment to continuous service improvement through leading quality improvement and research activities.
Actively contributes to a learning environment through clinical supervision, mentoring, and skill sharing.
Honesty, integrity, and respect for all patients, carers, and staff.
Mandatory Requirements:
Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association within Australia.
Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
