SCH Pharmacy relocated into a purpose-built, state-of-the-art facility at the end of 2025. The department incorporates automation and robotics across the dispensary, and has on site aseptic, cytotoxic and gene therapy clean rooms. This position is a key final piece in our staffing model that will ensure the department is appropriately resourced to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality pharmacy services across our new facility.
What you'll be doing
The Lead Pharmacy Technician – Pharmacy Operations is responsible for performing an advanced technical role, within the Pharmacy team, providing leadership and oversight of e t dispensary operations to ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient delivery of medicines management services. The position also leads quality improvement initiatives that support optimal patient care and service delivery across the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN).
Acting in a supervisory capacity within the Dispensary team and as the second-in-charge to the SCHN Chief Pharmacy Technician, this role contributes to the development of the Pharmacy Technician workforce, promotes full scope of practice, and supports the ongoing enhancement of operational and clinical pharmacy services.
