We are currently seeking Electronic Instrument Trades Workers to join our growing team in Griffith, NSW.
Reporting to the Senior Automation Engineer, these roles will assist in the installation, commissioning, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial automation systems (including PLC-based control systems and associated software) for all Flavourtech products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, installation, commissioning, and support of automation control systems and software for all Flavourtech products
- Develop, test, and optimise PLC, HMI, and SCADA programs under supervision or as part of a project team
- Perform factory acceptance testing (FAT), including simulation of plant sequences and automatic modes
- Diagnose and resolve control system, electrical, and communication issues (e.g. networked PLCs, Ethernet/IP, Profinet)
- Install, configure, and support industrial networks and field devices including safety systems, interlocks, and fail-safe logic
- Maintain automation documentation, service records, and software/version control updates
- Respond promptly to technical and operational enquiries, including on-site troubleshooting support
- Provide technical support to Flavourtech Marketing & Sales teams as required
To be successful in these positions you will possess:
- Trade qualification as an Electronic Instrument Trades Worker (or equivalent Electrical/Instrumentation trade qualification)
- 3–5 years’ experience in industrial automation, instrumentation, or electrical systems (automation experience highly regarded)
- Experience with industrial PLC and HMI platforms such as Allen-Bradley CompactLogix/PanelView and/or Siemens S7-1500/Unified Comfort HMI (desirable)
- Experience with industrial communication networks such as EtherNet/IP, IO-Link, AS-i, Profibus, and Profinet (desirable)
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, software, and control system issues
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently when required
- Strong team player with the ability to coordinate tasks and support project delivery
- Willingness and ability to undertake frequent domestic and occasional overseas travel
- Competent computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word
- Current passport and valid driver’s licence required
A salary package will be negotiated commensurate with qualifications and experience.
