The Opportunity
We are seeking an Estimation and Asset Support Manager to join our Industrials & Energy WA team within the Asset Maintenance and Preservation business unit in Henderson. Reporting to the Manager, Asset Maintenance and Preservation, you will play a vital role in leading the estimating and asset support functions, ensuring tenders are accurately scoped, commercially sound and aligned with operational capability. The position requires practical knowledge of abrasive blasting, surface preparation and industrial painting to ensure estimates reflect the correct work methods, production rates, materials, plant requirements and delivery risks.

What you'll be responsible for
Lead and develop the estimating and asset support team
Set performance expectations and support employee development
Lead preparation of accurate, competitive estimates and tender submissions
Analyse scopes, specifications, drawings and contracts to confirm project requirements
Maintain accurate asset registers covering location, condition, availability and compliance
Develop asset inspection, servicing and preventative maintenance schedules
Lead tender handovers to operations and project teams
Monitor actual costs against estimates and investigate variances
Maintain organised and version-controlled estimating, tender and asset records
Ensure compliance with Veolia requirements, client obligations and legislation
What you'll need to be successful
Trade, technical or tertiary qualification, or equivalent experience in estimating, blasting and painting operations
Proven estimating and tendering experience in abrasive blasting, surface preparation, industrial painting and protective coatings
Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets and tender submissions
Strong knowledge of blasting/painting methods, productivity, coating systems, materials, plant, access, containment, quality and delivery risks
Interpret technical specifications, drawings and contracts
Commercial acumen including cost build-ups and margins
Experience with blasting/painting plant and equipment inspection, maintenance, compliance and mobilisation
Leadership, planning and stakeholder management skills
Current Australian driver's licence
