ACE SIGN is a Melbourne-based signage company specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of commercial signage. We work with leading builders, shopfitters and retail brands on projects ranging from national retail rollouts to statutory and wayfinding signage packages, with full in-house design, fabrication and installation capabilities.
The Role
This is a client-facing role focused on looking after our existing clients and their orders — not cold-calling or new business development. As Account Manager, you'll own a portfolio of established accounts and take each order from enquiry through quoting, production and installation to final handover, making sure everything runs on time, on budget and to spec.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the day-to-day contact for an established portfolio of clients, including builders, shopfitters and retail brands
- Receive and review incoming orders; prepare quotations and confirm specifications, artwork and site details with clients
- Coordinate with our design, production and installation teams to keep every order moving smoothly through each stage
- Provide clients with proactive updates on order status, lead times and installation scheduling
- Manage variations, resolve issues promptly, and keep clients informed when things change
- Read and check shop drawings, signage schedules and specifications; arrange site measures where required
- Follow up on approvals, deposits and outstanding invoices in coordination with our accounts team
- Maintain accurate records of quotes, orders and client communications
- Identify repeat-business opportunities within your existing accounts
What You'll Bring
- Signage industry experience is essential — ideally 2+ years in account management, project coordination or estimating
- Solid knowledge of signage products, materials, fabrication methods and installation requirements
- Confidence reading shop drawings and specifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable dealing with builders, project managers and retail clients
- Strong organisation and attention to detail — able to juggle multiple live orders without dropping the ball
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with quoting or job-management software an advantage
- Full Australian working rights and a current driver's licence (occasional site visits)
