You want to do work that makes a positive difference to local communities
You've been developing your skills and are ready to work on projects that matter to the people of NSW. You know that quality matters and that delivering results requires a great team.
In this role, you'll:
Support the delivery and quality of road maintenance and infrastructure projects across the region. You may perform duties as a Project Quality Representative, Asset Inspector (Network Inspections), or Contract Surveillance Representative, helping to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards.
Working under limited supervision, either independently or as part of a team, you will undertake a broad range of skilled operational activities developed through training and experience. You will be responsible for completing assigned tasks to quality specifications, identifying and resolving routine issues, and applying established procedures and guidelines to ensure successful project outcomes.
This is a hands-on, outdoor role that involves working in a high-traffic environment, travelling to various work locations, and undertaking physically demanding work. You will also be required to work outside normal business hours, attend emergency callouts, and work away from home when required, with accommodation and Living Away from Home Allowance (LAFHA) provided.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting quality assurance, asset inspection and contract surveillance activities across road and infrastructure projects.
- Conducting field-based work in high-speed, high-volume traffic environments.
- Travelling throughout the region to attend worksites, emergencies and planned maintenance activities.
- Working away from home when required, with accommodation and allowances provided.
- Identifying and resolving routine operational issues using established procedures and guidelines.
- Contributing to the safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of road maintenance and infrastructure programs.
Through your work, you will play an important role in delivering safer roads, smoother journeys, and longer-lasting infrastructure for the community.
This is a fixed term opportunity until June 2027, based in Narrandera, and successful applicants must reside within a 75km radius of the Narrandera Works Depot.
