- Program Planning: Develop and implement age-appropriate, play-based learning programs aligned with curriculum frameworks (such as the Early Years Learning Framework in Australia).
- Child Development: Observe, document, and evaluate children’s progress, ensuring individual learning styles and developmental milestones are met.
- Health & Safety: Maintain a clean, hygienic, and hazard-free environment. Administer first aid, manage allergies, and ensure strict compliance with child protection and WHS laws.
- Daily Routines: Assist children with daily tasks, including meals, rest, and personal care (e.g., toileting and hygiene).
- Family Partnerships: Maintain open, respectful communication with parents and caregivers, providing daily updates and ongoing reports on their child's progress.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
- Qualifications: Relevant state-approved qualifications (such as a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care).
- Checks: Valid Working with Children Check (e.g., QLD Blue Card) and up-to-date compliance (e.g., First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications).
- Interpersonal Skills: Patience, empathy, strong communication, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Pay: $25.51 – $42.64 per hour
