Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.
We are seeking a motivated Weekend Ward Clerk to join our team and support the Children’s Ward at Nepean Hospital. This role works on Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00am to 6:30pm, and every public holiday.
The Weekend Ward Clerk is responsible for performing all administrative duties relevant to ward activity and patient management in an efficient and effective manner. This includes general reception duties, medical record management and accurate data entry for all patient ward transactions using the hospital’s Patient Administration System (PAS).
The successful candidate will be customer service driven and passionate about improving the patient’s journey, while also providing high quality support to our frontline healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will also demonstrate a high degree of accuracy in performing their duties, and will possess excellent communication skills, acting as a first point of contact, including telephone and email enquiries, as well as in-person contact with clients.
