Key Relationships
The Year 10 Coordinator is responsible to the Deputy Principal/Head of
Senior School and the Principal and works closely with Year 10
teachers, students, Heads of House, staff, families and students
Position Objective:
The Year 10 Coordinator is a key pastoral and administrative leadership position within the School. The
position is responsible for supporting students through a significant year of growth, increased independence
and preparation for Stage 1 SACE. The Year 10 Coordinator provides oversight of Year 10 student wellbeing,
academic progress, subject selection, pathway planning and WestQuest participation. The role is charged
with ensuring students are well prepared for the academic, personal and organisational demands of Years 11
and 12 and will involve a teaching component.
Key Responsibilities:
1. School leadership
- Contribute to the pastoral and strategic leadership of the Senior School.
- Promote Westminster's values and foster a culture of wellbeing, engagement and belonging.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Year 10 programs, student support structures and
School priorities.
- Actively participate in relevant professional learning, committees and School events
2. Leadership of the Year 10 Program
- Lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of the Year 10 program, ensuring students are supported
through a significant year of growth and preparation for senior secondary studies.
- In conjunction with the Heads of House, curriculum leaders and other stakeholders oversee key Year
10 initiatives, including induction, transition, pathway planning and experiential learning opportunities
such as WestQuest.
