Location: Kununurra, Western Australia
Remuneration: AUD $71,550 to AUD $78,000 commensurate with skills and experience, plus Superannuation. Handypersons are paid above award wages.
Duties:
- Assist carpenters and builders with daily pre-start set-up and unpack.
- Maintain the tool trailer to ensure tools are orderly and in good working order.
- Operate hand and electrical tools.
- Perform minor maintenance and repair on tools and equipment.
- Maintain gardens; weeding, pruning, lawn mowing and whipper snipping.
- Repair irrigation reticulation.
- Clean work vehicles and plant.
- Keep sites and premises safe and tidy.
- Pressure washing.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on fixtures and furniture.
- Clean and/or replace air conditioning filters, light globes and other items.
- Use leaf blower to remove dust, debris and leaves.
- Collect and remove rubbish from worksites and business premises.
- Other general basic handyperson tasks as required.
Essential skills and experience:
- At least one year of full-time work experience as a Handyperson.
- Driver’s licence.
- Can do attitude.
- Happy to work in remote locations.
- Fit to work in high temperatures and humid climates.

Other information:
-Handypersons will work in and around Kununurra, outdoors in extreme environmental conditions. Temperatures often exceed 40 degrees Celsius with high humidity. Applicants must be fit for work.
-Drug and alcohol testing may be conducted with zero tolerance for intoxication at any time.
