As Manager - Reporting and Forecasting, you’ll support the Senior Manager Business Partnering to deliver accurate, timely and insight-led performance reporting for Technology and Corporate Services. You’ll play a key role in monthly reporting, budgeting and forecasting, helping turn financial and operational information into clear insights that support better decisions.
Working closely with leaders and key stakeholders, you’ll translate performance results into practical commentary, highlight trends, risks and opportunities, and help strengthen planning and reporting across these functions. You’ll also drive continuous improvement across reporting processes, financial models and ways of working, with a focus on making finance outputs simpler, more efficient and genuinely useful for the people who rely on them.

What you’ll do
- Partner with leaders and their teams to understand business drivers, clarify requirements and provide clear, evidence-based financial insight.
- Lead monthly performance reporting for Technology and Corporate Services, including Opex, Capex, projects and FTE reporting.
- Prepare clear commentary on drivers, variances, risks and opportunities, and ensure reporting is accurate, timely and useful for decision-making.
- Work with stakeholders to develop robust assumptions, understand cost drivers and incorporate operational plans into budgets and forecasts.
- Identify and implement opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate reporting and planning processes.
- Improve the quality, consistency and efficiency of finance outputs through better use of systems, data and repeatable ways of working.
- Demonstrate leadership by working collaboratively across the team, while being hands-on sharing knowledge, coaching others where appropriate and contributing to a positive, high-performing environment.
Your experience
- At least 8 + years’ experience in business partnering/financial analysis roles
- Degree level qualification in commerce, economics, accounting or other relevant numeric discipline
- CA/CPA/FINSIA/CFA Qualification (or equivalent)
- Great interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with key business stakeholders
- Confident and articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated
- Ability to ask questions and challenge assumptions
- Proven experience of highlighting potential improvements in current systems and processes
- Demonstrated capability to operate effectively in a complex and changing environment
- Experience within Financial modelling or experience in building effective models to support financial processes
- Experience using Oracle Cloud applications and/or SmartView would be extremely beneficial
- Utilities/commodity sector experience would be useful but not essential
