An exciting opportunity has become available for a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant
Accountant to join our Finance Team.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Accountant, you will provide support across all financial functions of the Club and associated entities. This role offers excellent exposure to a broad range of accounting activities and is ideal for someone looking to further develop their career in finance.
About the Role
You will be responsible for a variety of accounting and administrative functions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, government regulations, and Greenbank Services Club policies and procedures.
This role will assist with the management of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual accounting processes while supporting continuous improvement within the finance function.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Reports.

Process journals and assist with month-end reporting requirements.

Conduct analytical reviews of monthly financial results for discussion with the team.

Monitor and review accounts to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Reconcile daily cash and revenue transactions for internal audit purposes.

Manage accounts payable functions, including invoice verification, supplier reconciliations, payment processing, and discrepancy resolution.

Provide backup support across all finance team functions when required.

Assist with payroll processing and related administrative tasks.

Provide ad hoc support to the Senior Management Team and undertake additional administrative duties as required.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline.

1–2 years' experience in a similar accounting or finance role.

Sound understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, formulas, reporting, formatting, and data validation.

Experience identifying and implementing process or system improvements.

Interest in pursuing or completing CA or CPA qualifications will be highly regarded but is not essential.
