Mr Quick Whip is looking for reliable, friendly and hardworking people to join our mobile ice cream and food van team.
This is a casual or part-time, hands-on role based from Ravenhall, with shifts across Melbourne and regional Victoria. Some events may require driving for three to four hours.
You will be responsible for operating an ice cream and food van from start to finish, including:
- Driving the van to events, trading locations and private bookings
- Loading stock and preparing the van before each shift
- Serving customers and processing payments
- Preparing soft serve ice cream, scooped gelati, milkshakes and thickshakes
- Making coffee, hot dogs, sandwiches and other food items
- Keeping the van clean, organised and properly stocked
- Completing cleaning and pack-down duties after each shift
- Following food safety, hygiene and operating procedures
Full training will be provided. Previous food service or customer service experience is helpful but not essential.
Applicants must generally be available to work weekends, evenings and public holidays. Shifts may be weather-dependent, and working hours can vary.
Requirements
- Valid Victorian driver licence
- P-plate drivers may apply
- Confidence driving a van
- Friendly and professional customer service
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work independently
- Willing to complete cleaning, loading and other physical duties
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Available to travel across Melbourne and regional Victoria when required
Some vans are automatic and others are manual. Automatic-only drivers may apply. Applicants with genuine manual driving experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Pay and conditions apply in accordance with the Fast Food Industry Award.
Pay: $27.81 – $69.53 per hour
