About Me
I am a woman in my 70s who lives in Hackham with my husband and our much-loved dog. My home is a place where family, respect, and kindness are highly valued, so I am looking for support workers who will appreciate being welcomed into our home and contribute positively to our household.
I have a passion for music, especially Fleetwood Mac, enjoying time in our garden, and have travelled extensively throughout my life. I love sharing stories and conversations about my experiences and value spending time with people who are genuine, engaging, and enjoy building meaningful relationships.
About the Role
I am seeking reliable support workers to join my established team.
Support includes:
-
Personal care using specific manual handling techniques (training will be provided where required).
- Supporting complex health and personal care needs.
- Assisting with household tasks such as laundry, shopping, and meal preparation.
- Supporting me to attend appointments.
- Working collaboratively with my family and existing support team to provide consistent, respectful support.
This role requires someone who is willing to learn specific support routines and values providing support that enables me to live the life I choose.
About You
The ideal person will:
-
Build genuine relationships through respectful and meaningful conversation.
- Have excellent communication skills and enjoy getting to know people.
- Bring warmth, positivity, patience, and a good sense of humour.
- Be reliable, organised, and pay attention to detail.
- Value working collaboratively with my family while respecting my home and routines.
- Be willing to learn specialised manual handling and complex support techniques.
- Promote my independence by supporting me to do as much as I can for myself rather than doing tasks for me.
- Be flexible and work as part of a consistent, committed team
Experience supporting people with complex physical support needs is desirable; however, the right attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to person-centred support are equally important.
Hours of Work
I am looking to recruit support workers who can share a variety of shifts over 7 days.
Typical shifts include:
-
Morning: 9:30 am – 11:30 am
- Midday: 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm
- Evening: 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm or 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Applicants must be willing to work split shifts and have flexibility to assist with passive overnight shifts on an ad hoc basis when my husband is unavailable. The role offers approximately 10–20 hours per week, with opportunities to build hours over time for the right candidates.
Compensation and Training
- Compensation will be provided at the level 2.1 Casual base rate (currently $45,28- $63.39 per hour), along with ongoing training opportunities.
Requirements
All applicants should possess or be prepared to obtain:
- A valid driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle
- A current NDIS worker screening check
- A current First Aid Certificate

For more than 30 years, the Community Living Project has worked in close partnership with families to build opportunities for a good life for their family member who is living with a disability. Community Living Project focuses on building inclusion. To us, this means that everyone matters and all people are welcomed, included and contributing to community life. We work with one person at a time to craft individualised support in a way that ensures each person (and their family) has as much control as possible over all aspects of their life. We believe all people should have the opportunity to pursue a unique lifestyle that is personally meaningful, relevant and typically intertwined in their community. We will not offer you a generic ‘program’, ‘vacancy’ or ‘place’. Instead, we will help you to craft your participation and inclusion in the community.
