Shangri-La The Marina, Cairns is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Luxury Corporate Sales Manager to join our Sales & Marketing team.
Positioned on the waterfront overlooking the iconic Marlin Marina and Trinity Inlet, our 255-room luxury hotel is renowned for delivering exceptional guest experiences, premium accommodation, award-winning dining, and sophisticated conference and event facilities.
This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished sales professional who thrives on developing strategic partnerships, securing new business, and growing market share within the corporate, government, and MICE segments.
About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies that drive accommodation, meetings, conferences, and corporate business while strengthening Shangri-La’s presence in the Cairns market.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Proactively identifying and securing new corporate accounts and business opportunities.
- Managing and growing an established portfolio of corporate, government and key industry clients.
- Conducting sales calls, networking activities, client entertainment and familiarisation visits.
- Preparing tailored proposals, contracts and rate negotiations.
- Representing the hotel at trade shows, industry events and business networking functions.
- Developing strategic account plans to maximise revenue opportunities.
- Collaborating closely with Revenue, Reservations, Conference & Events and Operations teams to deliver seamless client experiences.
- Maintaining accurate sales activity, forecasting and reporting through CRM systems.
- Achieving monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets across accommodation, meetings and events.
About You
You are passionate about luxury hospitality and understand how to build genuine long-term business relationships.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous experience in Corporate Sales within a luxury hotel or premium hospitality environment.
- Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong knowledge of the corporate travel, government and MICE markets.
- Exceptional networking, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach with excellent time management.
- The ability to analyse market trends and identify commercial opportunities.
- Experience using hotel sales systems and CRM platforms (Opera knowledge is advantageous).
- A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel for sales activities where required.
