The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Nurse (Mental Health - Continuing Care Team) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Utilise clinical assessment and intervention methods of demonstrated effectiveness that are child-centered, family-orientated, and developmentally informed
Apply professional knowledge and skills in clinical decision making under the practice supervision or professional guidance of a more senior clinician
Provide input into the development of clinical practices, procedures, and protocols that enhance the delivery of mental health and clinical services to infants, children, young people
Work collaboratively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, to provide integration and coordination between different sites or programs
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
Be credentialed through the College of Mental Health Nurses (or be prepared to work towards a credential in Mental Health Nursing)
Driver Licence
A graduate certificate or greater within a relevant area is highly desirable
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Base salary ranging from $113,979 - $122,048 per annum

The Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) Continuing Care Team (CCT) works with children and adolescents aged 0-18 years experiencing severe and/or complex mental illness and their families utilising a multi-disciplinary team approach which also involves broader systems.
