We’re looking for a disability support worker to join our team!
Seeking an experienced, patient, friendly, fun, engaging and caring Support Worker to help one of our valued participants with daily living supports, household duties and community access. This role would be greatly suited to someone with a early childhood background or experience working with neurodivergent participants.
Located in Aura (City of Colour), the participant is a 6 year old male with ASD. Every shift will include support and active engagement with the participant, this could include age and developmental appropriate activies or basic house duties, company, companionship and basic food prep. Community access would be to support the participant to engage in daily educational outings withing the community or assist with transport needs.
Shifts may have some flexibility, however will look something like the below :
- Tuesday 9am - 1pm
- Friday 9am - 1pm
- Occasional additional shifts on weekdays and weekends
This role is perfect for someone local who has the right experience, a big heart, fun loving nature, engaging support style and a patient/reliable nature. We need someone who can show initiative, read the participant, think on their feet and fill in the time of the shift. No wasting time on their phone. Must be able to keep busy for the shift and think outside the box. No two shifts will be the same. Physical ability is also important due to the speed of the participant and likelihood of running.
Due to the nature of the participant and the amount of time spent together, this is a long-term role so we need someone prepared to commit, turn up for every shift and not have a transient nature.

- Minimum Certificate III Qualification
- Valid Drivers Licence
