Garderie Early Learning Centre is a 29 place Centre with a home-like atmosphere, which values strong relationships with children, families and the local community. We are a stand- alone long day care Centre that focuses on providing high quality education and care to children between the ages of 2 to 6 years.
We are looking for a new permanent educator who is experienced, motivated, innovative and passionate about Early Childhood Education and Care. The ideal candidate will be provided with support from experienced mentors to work at high quality standards.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Under direction, work with all children with various abilities
- Programming and Planning
- Undertake and implement the requirements of quality assurance
- Work in accordance with Child Safety regulations.
Responsibilities at this level also includes the following:
- Maintain a clean, hygienic environment
- Maintain and attend to personal hygiene of children
- Attend to nutritional needs of children
- Respond to child's apparent ill-health
- Respond to accident, emergency or threat
- Implement routines which enhance well being
- Interact positively and appropriately with children
- Work under direction with individual children with special needs
- Assist in the preparation, implementation and evaluation of developmentally appropriate programs for individual children or groups
- Record observations of individual children or groups for program planning purposes for qualified staff
- Contribute to team approach
- Liaise effectively with parents
- Uphold the Centre's philosophy, policies and procedures while contributing to their review.
- Participate in appropriate administrative processes
Qualifications & experience
- You will hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent with at least 2 years' experience as an educator/room leader.
- You will be passionate about Childhood Education and showcase this in your attitude, work ethic and dedication to the role. You will also need:
- First aid certificate and Asthma and anaphylaxis Certification
- Current WWCC
- Geccko Training
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- English
- A passion for working with, and providing high quality education and support to children
- A friendly and energetic personality, confident and innovative.
Pay: $68,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
