SymCare is seeking highly experienced, compassionate and motivated Female casual Support Workers to join our SIL teams.
Current vacancies exist in Notting Hill. We are in search of individuals who possess both empathy and extensive experience in providing support to those facing mental health challenges, intellectual disabilities, and challenging behaviours. Our ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in trauma-informed care, conflict resolution and the implementation of positive behaviour support plans. Responsibilities:
- Providing complex care and support to our participants, including those with challenging behaviours of concern
- Performing domestic duties such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Transportation
- Supporting community engagement activities
- Behaviour and Mental Health Support
- Implementing BSP strategies when needed
- Effective management of challenging situations
- General record keeping and report writing
Requirements:
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Good English
- Minimum Cert IV in Disability or higher qualification in the relevant field
- Minimum 2 years' experience in complex behavioural support
- Valid driver's licence required
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Working with Children Card
- Full COVID-19 vaccinations (proof from MyGov)
- Proven ability to connect and engage with participants and deliver outcomes-focused, person-centred active support.
- Demonstrates personal integrity, courage and a commitment to service excellence.
- Australian work rights (citizenship or valid visa) required

- Flexible availability and capacity to work regular shifts across a 24-hour, 7-day week roster
