We are currently seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker (minimum 12 months' experience) to join our dedicated and supportive team.
We're looking for someone who is compassionate, reliable, highly motivated, and has a great sense of humour. Most importantly, you will have a genuine passion for supporting people to achieve their goals and enjoy the best quality of life possible.
This is a subcontractor position, so applicants must have their own ABN and appropriate insurances.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing person-centred support to participants in line with their individual goals and support plans.
- Supporting participants to develop life skills, independence, and confidence.
- Facilitating participation in social, recreational, and community activities.
- Promoting participant choice, dignity, and inclusion at all times.
- Ensuring all supports are delivered in accordance with NDIS Practice Standards and company policies.
- Assisting participants with transport to appointments, activities, and community engagements when required.
- Monitoring participant wellbeing and reporting any concerns promptly.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 12 months' experience in disability support.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Current Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle.
- ABN and relevant insurances.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
