Primary objective
Provide systems administration support to the Agency Business Systems, specific to the Departments of Health and Children
& Families. This role contributes as a key resource in the ongoing application support, business as usual, for Primary Care
and Community Care Information Systems.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Provide advice to the system analyst and under supervision to key stakeholders in relation to the support and
maintenance, service delivery and business as usual activities, as they relate to application support.
2. Develop and maintain effective collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders.
3. Actively participate as a full member of the Branch contributing innovative ideas and solutions.
4. Assists with developing, documenting, and implementing changes based on requests for change and assists with
assessing and analysing release components.
5. Assist with maintaining application support and security administration processes and checks that all requests for
support are dealt with in accordance with agreed procedures.
6. Assist with initiating and monitoring actions to investigate and resolve problems in systems, process and services and
contributes to the creation of support documentation.
7. Prioritises and diagnosis incidents according to agreed procedures, including the escalation of unresolved tickets.
8. Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being
undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Consistently acts with integrity and professionalism to support a culture of quality customer service.
2. Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with people of diverse cultures.
3. Sound problem solving skills and experience in creating support documentation and providing 2nd level application
support.
4. Knowledge of security and experience in administering access rights, privileges, and access controls.
5. Flexible, resilient with an ability to work under pressure, meet stringent deadlines and manage projects effectively.
6. Ability to assess, analyse, develop, document, test, and implement changes based on request for change.
7. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of Commitment to service, Innovation, Ethical
practice, Accountability, Impartiality, Diversity and Respect.
Desirable
1. Relevant tertiary and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) qualification.
2. Prior experience working within the Health and Child Protection sectors
