Liverpool / Fairfield Community Mental Health Services are re‑advertising for a Senior Aboriginal Health Worker to support Aboriginal infants, children, young people, adults and their families accessing mental health care.
Working across our community mental health teams, you will walk alongside individuals and families to help them navigate mental health systems in culturally safe, family‑centred, and trauma‑informed ways. A key part of the role is supporting engagement with services and ensuring continuity of care back into community.
You will also contribute cultural knowledge to care planning, strengthen culturally responsive practice across teams, and build strong partnerships with Aboriginal organisations and community services to support social and emotional wellbeing.
SWSLHD operates its services across the traditional lands of the Dharawal, Darug and Gundungurra peoples, in strong partnership with local Aboriginal communities to deliver better, culturally responsive health care, led by our Aboriginal Health services.We are a district that is committed to supporting you grow and develop your skills. You will be provided with cultural supervision, participate in cultural strengths mapping and form part of a larger, supportive Aboriginal workforce.

- Support families to connect with ongoing community services after mental health care.
- Share your knowledge to strengthen cultural responsiveness and support fellow Aboriginal Health Workers
