About the Role
We are seeking motivated and experienced Motorhands to join our Queensland operations on a full-time, ongoing basis on our drilling rigs. This is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining rig engines and equipment, supporting drilling operations, and assisting the wider crew to ensure safe and efficient rig performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with rig operations including rig-in, rig-out, and drilling activities
- Operate and maintain rig engines, equipment, and front-end loaders
- Use and maintain hand tools to support maintenance and repairs
- Support derrick operations, including working at heights when required
- Prepare and handle pipe and equipment in line with operational requirements
- Maintain housekeeping and assist in organising daily rig tasks
- Follow all safety procedures, including Lock Out/Tag Out
- Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks
About You:
- Certificate II in Oil and Gas Drilling (Onshore) (or equivalent) preferred
- Previous experience in a Motorhand or similar role
- Mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of rig equipment
- Physically fit and able to work in harsh outdoor conditions
- Willingness to work shift work and rotational rosters
- Strong safety focus and ability to follow procedures
- Team-oriented with good communication skills
- Reliable, proactive, and willing to learn
