Reliant Care is seeking a Male Disability Support Worker to join our team, supporting participants with psychosocial and physical disabilities.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, compassionate, and confident in providing person-centred support within a home and community environment.
About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will support participants with daily living tasks, community access, personal care, emotional regulation, and skill development. You will work alongside participants to promote independence, dignity, choice, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support to participants with psychosocial and physical disabilities
- Assist with personal care, daily routines, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Support participants to access the community and attend appointments
- Follow behaviour support strategies, care plans, and risk management plans
- Use clear communication and de-escalation skills when required
- Complete accurate shift notes, incident reports, and medication documentation
- Work respectfully with participants, families, guardians, and the wider care team
Essential Requirements
- Male support worker required due to participant support needs and preferences
- Experience supporting people with psychosocial and/or physical disabilities
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Understanding of professional boundaries, duty of care, and confidentiality
Desirable
- Experience with complex behaviours and mental health support
- Manual handling experience
- Medication competency or willingness to complete training
- Availability for weekdays, weekends, sleepover or active night shifts

You will be patient, respectful, and confident working with participants who may require emotional support, structure, prompting, and assistance with daily living. You will understand the importance of building trust, maintaining consistency, and supporting participants in a safe and empowering way.
