Asian Fusion restaurant in Coolum Beach is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Team Member to join our team.
We are looking for someone with previous kitchen experience, preferably in a restaurant, cafe or commercial kitchen environment. Experience in Asian or Asian-fusion cuisine will be highly regarded, but it is not essential if you are motivated, willing to learn and can work well in a fast-paced team.
Your duties may include:
- Food preparation and basic cooking support
- Assisting during busy service periods
- Plating and maintaining food presentation standards
- Dishwashing and keeping the kitchen clean and organised
- Following food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures
- Supporting the kitchen team with general daily tasks
What we are looking for:
- Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is preferred
- A reliable, hardworking and positive attitude
- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Strong attention to cleanliness, food safety and organisation
- RSA is preferred but not essential
- Applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia
We welcome applicants on Working Holiday or Temporary Graduate visas, as well as applicants who are soon to complete their studies, provided they have suitable work rights and availability for the role.
This position will initially be offered on a casual or part-time basis. For the right person, there may be an opportunity to progress into a full-time role in the future.
Casual pay starts from $32.18 per hour, depending on experience and duties. Higher penalty rates apply for weekend and public holiday work.
Work days and hours can be discussed to suit both the business and the successful applicant.
