Step into a role where your expertise truly matters. As a Aged Care Comprehensive Assessor in the Cairns region, you’ll be at the forefront of supporting older Australians, by connecting them with services that will help them maintain independence, and the best possible quality of life.
This is a dynamic, community-based role where no two days are the same. You’ll be out in the field, meeting clients where they are and delivering support exactly when it’s needed most.
Please note: Daily travel is a core requirement of this role. You will be required to travel throughout your service area every day to meet business and client needs.
What You’ll Be Doing

Deliver Meaningful Assessments
Conduct comprehensive Aged Care Assessments to understand each client’s needs and goals. -
Connect People to the Right Support
Facilitate referrals to services that empower older adults to live independently. -
Promote Independence & Wellbeing
Champion strategies that maximise functional ability and quality of daily living. -
Collaborate with Key Stakeholders
Build strong relationships with families, carers, and broader care networks. -
Ensure Quality & Compliance
Complete assessments in line with Department of Health guidelines and standards.

What You Bring
-
Minimum 1 year’s experience in aged care, including assessments and/or service delivery
-
Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. Nursing, OT, Physio, Social Work)
-
Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA or relevant professional body

Strong digital skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, client management systems)
-
Current driver’s licence, insured vehicle, and willingness to travel daily within your service area
