A Maintenance Fitter at a quarry is responsible for keeping heavy machinery and equipment operating safely and efficiently.
Job description:
Inspect, service, and repair crushers, conveyors, screens, pumps, and other quarry equipment.
Diagnose mechanical faults and replace worn or damaged parts.
Perform preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns.
Read technical drawings and maintenance manuals.
Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
Record maintenance work and report equipment issues.
Typical qualifications:
Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade) for Maintenance Fitters, or Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle or Mobile Plant Technology for Diesel Mechanics.
Trade qualification (apprenticeship completed).
Queensland driver's licence.
Experience with heavy equipment is highly valued.
Pay: $7,500.00 – $10,800.00 per month
