About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Senior Accountant to join our growing tax and advisory firm. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives on managing client relationships end-to-end and delivering high-quality tax compliance and strategic advice.
As a Senior Accountant, you will take full ownership of your client portfolio—from initial engagement through to ongoing advisory—acting as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of clients across various industries, handling all accounting and taxation matters from start to finish
- Prepare and review financial statements, income tax returns, BAS, and other compliance obligations
- Provide proactive tax planning and business advisory services
- Liaise directly with clients to understand their financial position, goals, and challenges
- Ensure compliance with Australian taxation laws and regulatory requirements
- Identify opportunities for business improvement and value-added services
- Supervise and mentor junior accountants, reviewing their work and supporting their development
- Maintain strong client relationships and deliver exceptional service
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in public practice accounting, preferably within a tax-focused firm
- Strong knowledge of Australian tax legislation and compliance requirements
- Proven ability to manage client relationships independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- Experience with Handisoft

Pay: $140,000.00 – $165,000.00 per year
