Doctors’ Health Fund is a restricted private health insurer, the only health fund in Australia that exclusively serves the medical community and their families. We are one of Australia’s fastest growing health funds and now cover more than 70,000 lives.
Proudly part of the Avant Mutual Group, we are owned by doctors, not shareholders. We support the medical community by offering quality health covers and exceptional member service. We align our values to the profession by advocating for freedom of choice and clinical independence, while only supporting medically evidenced treatments and therapies.
About the role:
Doctors' Health Fund (DHF) is seeking a commercially focused Senior Marketing Manager to lead our growth marketing agenda and play a pivotal role in accelerating membership growth across Australia's medical community.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Growth, this is a high-impact leadership role with end-to-end accountability for acquisition, conversion and growth performance across paid, owned, partnership, referral and cross-sell channels. Leading a team of five, you will partner closely with Sales, Product, Digital and the broader Avant Group to identify growth opportunities, optimise customer journeys and deliver sustainable commercial results.
We're looking for a strategic, data-led marketer who can combine customer insight, market intelligence and commercial acumen to create distinctive campaigns, build high-performing funnels and drive measurable business outcomes.
Key accountabilities:
- Develop and execute DHF's growth marketing strategy, translating business objectives into integrated acquisition, conversion and market development plans.
- Drive lead generation, conversion performance, acquisition efficiency and membership growth across key market segments.
- Lead performance marketing activity across paid search, paid social, display, content, email, marketing automation and website conversion optimisation.
- Build compelling go-to-market strategies that strengthen DHF's value proposition and market position within the medical community.
- Establish and grow strategic partnerships, events and cross-sell opportunities that generate high-quality acquisition outcomes.
- Use data, analytics, attribution and experimentation to identify growth opportunities, optimise investment decisions and maximise ROI.
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team across acquisition marketing, partnerships, cross-sell and business development.
- Manage growth budgets, performance dashboards and forecasting, providing actionable insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate across Sales, Product, Digital, Operations, Compliance and Group Marketing to deliver aligned customer and business outcomes.
Skills and experience required:
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business or a related discipline.
- Experience in senior growth, acquisition, performance or integrated marketing leadership roles.
- Experience in private health insurance, healthcare, financial services, member-based organisations or other regulated industries will be highly regarded, as will exposure to martech transformation, CRM integration, digital platform projects and agile ways of working.
- Proven success developing and executing growth strategies that deliver measurable commercial outcomes across acquisition, conversion and retention funnels.
- Strong expertise in performance marketing, CRM, marketing automation, lead nurture, audience segmentation and customer journey optimisation.
- Deep understanding of analytics, attribution, A/B testing and funnel performance metrics, with the ability to translate data into business decisions.
- Demonstrated experience managing significant marketing budgets and optimising investment to improve ROI, ROAS and customer lifetime value.
- Strong leadership capability with experience building high-performing teams and influencing diverse stakeholder groups.
- Experience developing strategic partnerships, events and market activation programs that support business growth.
- Exceptional commercial judgement, communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders through data-driven storytelling.
- A strong understanding of governance, compliance and risk considerations within regulated environments.
