A Medical Imaging Technologist (MIT), also called a radiographer, operates imaging equipment to help doctors diagnose injuries and diseases. They work with X-ray, CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, and other imaging technologies.
Typical Job Duties:
Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
Operate X-ray, CT, MRI, and other imaging equipment.
Produce high-quality diagnostic images.
Follow radiation safety procedures.
Maintain patient records and imaging data.
Work with radiologists, doctors, and other healthcare staff.
Assist in emergency, theatre, and bedside imaging when required.
