The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Business Analyst on a Max-Term contract of 14 months to join our Consumer team and play a pivotal role in delivering strategic initiatives and business-critical projects.
Working across business and technology teams, you'll help shape solutions that improve customer experiences, streamline processes, and support the continued evolution of our systems and platforms. This role is ideal for a collaborative and commercially minded BA who thrives in complex environments and enjoys turning business challenges into practical solutions.
What you'll be doing
As a Business Analyst, you'll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to understand business needs, define requirements, and support the successful delivery of initiatives from concept through to implementation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with stakeholders across Technology and business teams to gather, validate and prioritise business and technical requirements.
- Translating complex business problems and concepts into clear, actionable requirements and user stories.
- Facilitating workshops, interviews, walkthroughs and discovery sessions to identify business needs, pain points and opportunities.
- Working closely with architects, engineers, delivery teams and project managers to ensure solutions align with business objectives.
- Producing and maintaining high-quality business analysis artefacts and documentation.
- Documenting current-state (as-is) and future-state (to-be) processes.
- Driving continuous improvement by identifying process efficiencies and ensuring proposed solutions address business challenges.
- Supporting solution design, business readiness, testing and implementation activities.
- Managing stakeholder expectations and fostering strong relationships across business and technical teams.
- Contributing to project delivery and broader business transformation initiatives.
- Undertaking additional responsibilities as required to support business outcomes.
What you'll bring
We're looking for a confident and experienced Business Analyst who can operate at both strategic and operational levels while navigating complexity and change.
Essential experience and skills
- 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst delivering technology and business transformation initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation and negotiation skills.
- Advanced business requirements elicitation, analysis and process documentation capability.
- Experience with user story mapping and persona-based requirements gathering.
- Strong understanding of Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN).
- Familiarity with BABOK frameworks, tools and techniques.
- Experience using AI-enabled tools to support business analysis activities.
- Demonstrated ability to build trust, influence decisions and collaborate effectively across business and technology teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in ambiguous environments.
- A passion for continuous improvement and delivering business value.
Highly desirable
- Experience within Telecommunications, Energy, Power, Gas or Electricity industries.
- Understanding of Telecommunications Business Support Systems (BSS).
- Experience working within large-scale enterprise or customer-facing environments.
- Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies and cross-functional product teams.
