Rottnest Bakery is looking for a Baking Superstar, working and living on Rottnest Island, where it’s beautiful one day, spectacular the next.
Our bakery team work together to produce bread from scratch, and our success depends on delivering the best customer experience we can. If you are energetic, outgoing, enjoy working in a team and most importantly have an “Of Course Attitude” then this is the role for you.
Candidates must have a strong understanding of Scratch Baking methods.
This is a permanent full-time salaried position offered with heavily subsidised accommodation to support the requirement to live on the Island.
Skills/experience:
- A Qualified Baker with strong scratch baking experience
- Extensive knowledge of artisan bread, pastries and sourdough production
- Strong understanding of fermentation, proofing and baking techniques
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Following established recipes and traditional bread-making methods, with accuracy and care
- Mix, scale, shape, and bake a wide range of artisan breads
- Maintain quality control and presentation standards
- Monitor proofing and baking stages to ensure product quality and consistency
- Collaborate closely with a small, fast-paced team to meet production goals
