About the team
Revenue Management are a small team within Strategy & Innovation. We are responsible for the financial management and reconciliation of over $44 Billion in state revenue annually.
Your day-to-day
You will be responsible for assisting in the management of the revenue to ensure financial integrity in business and systems processes and financial reporting. We are looking for self-motivated candidates with strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills. You will have good attention to detail and excellent organisational ability who enjoys achieving the best results. You are someone who enjoys at working in a high-volume environment and keeping at pace with business process changes.
Some of the key responsibilities include:

Reconcile the core business systems with key ledgers to ensure integrity in internal financial and statutory reporting requirements

Provide revenue information notes and reports required by internal and external stakeholders

Provide financial and technical advice to support projects and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards

Review systems and processes to resolve discrepancies and identify process improvement opportunities

Undertake a range of administrative tasks to support the effective operation of the team and contribute to the maintenance of policies and procedures

rovide training and upskilling across the team to support overall capability uplift and development within the team.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

Strong reconciliation skills along with computer skills and system literacy
-
Systems testing experience and an understanding of the project lifecycle
-
Advanced Excel skills and experience in the use of SQL is desirable
-
Excellent communication skills
-
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume area and manage high priority tasks

Solid understanding of accounting principles
-
Accounting qualifications or equivalent experience
Holding or developing towards a CPA qualification would be highly advantageous.
