The Role
As the Testing Centre of Excellence (CoE) Lead, you will establish and evolve Yarra Valley Water's enterprise-wide testing practice, enabling technology solutions to be delivered with quality, consistency and confidence.
You will define and embed testing frameworks, standards and best practices across the Technology Group, driving continuous improvement and building modern testing capabilities. With a strong focus on automation, AI-enabled testing, quality engineering and scalable delivery, you'll help teams adopt smarter, more effective ways of working.
As the enterprise testing leader, you will shape testing strategy, resolve complex quality challenges and help ensure technology solutions are delivered with confidence, consistency and quality. Through collaboration, governance and continuous capability uplift, you will ensure testing remains a strategic enabler of successful technology delivery.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Establish and evolve enterprise testing strategy, governance and operating model to improve quality, consistency and delivery confidence.

Advance enterprise testing capability and quality engineering through modern practices, automation, measurement and continuous improvement.

Provide enterprise testing assurance, quality insights and risk oversight to support delivery readiness and informed decision-making.

Foster collaboration across stakeholders, vendors and communities of practice while defining and evolving enterprise testing standards, frameworks and tooling.

Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, innovation and quality-focused delivery.
What we’re Looking for
- Proven experience establishing and evolving enterprise testing governance, quality assurance frameworks, and standards.

Strong influencing and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across the organisation, building commitment to enterprise testing practices through practical value and trusted relationships.

Demonstrated expertise in test automation strategy, frameworks, and tooling.

Experience driving testing capability uplift, practice leadership, and continuous improvement.

Experience managing testing vendors and technology partners.

Proven ability to provide enterprise testing governance, quality assurance and testing insights across complex technology portfolios.

Experience working in Agile, hybrid, and iterative delivery environments.

Knowledge of AI-assisted testing and emerging testing technologies.

Experience embedding testing within CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and modern engineering practices.
