About the role
We are seeking reliable, empathetic, and professional Registered Nurse (Division 1) to join our casual nursing pool, providing in-home nursing services across Greater Melbourne.
Key tasks and responsibilities include:
- Comprehensive health assessments and reviews
- Wound care management
- Medication management and administration
- Catheter care and continence support
- Chronic disease management
- Hospital in the Home (HITH) services
- Liaising with multidisciplinary care teams (GPs, allied health, case managers and family members)
- Completing accurate, timely documentation and progress notes
To ensure success in this role, you should be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in the holistic model of care towards patients, whilst maintaining professionalism, and respect towards clients and their family throughout your interactions.
Qualifications & experience
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1)
- Minimum 3+ years professional nursing experience, preferably in the community, aged care, HITH or acute care setting
- BLS and Manual Handling Certificates
Skills
- Strong clinical nursing skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Bi-lingual proficiency highly desirable
- Ability to work autonomously, within your scope of practice
Other requirements
- Unrestricted Australian working rights
- National Police Check (or willing to obtain)
- Current Australian full Drivers' Licence and reliable, insured vehicle
- Smart phone access for care management software app
