What you'll do
As the Manager, you will lead the design, development and delivery of innovative capability and leadership development programs that support a skilled, high-performing and future-focused workforce across Queensland Health. You will drive the research, analysis and implementation of strategic initiatives that address current and emerging capability needs, while managing multiple large-scale, organisation-wide projects and programs to achieve outcomes within agreed timeframes, budgets and quality standards. Working closely with the Director and other leaders, you will oversee the unit's communication, financial and administrative functions, provide expert advice to a diverse range of stakeholders, and prepare high-quality submissions, briefs and policy papers with system-wide impact. You will foster strong partnerships with internal and external clients, lead and support a high-performing team through coaching and development, and champion an inclusive culture that encourages innovation, recognises achievement, and promotes employee wellbeing and leadership capability.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
Demonstrated experience in effectively leading, managing, planning and delivering best practice contemporary strategic workforce projects and initiatives, of varying complexity and scope, in a large complex multidisciplinary environment.
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, including strategic influence, stakeholder engagement, program management, consultation and relationship management skills.
Ability to lead a team to successfully deliver a range of capability programs and initiatives along with the ability to work with others in a leadership group.
Proven success in delivering a broad range of strategic initiatives, including comprehensive provision of advice, presentation, and report writing capabilities in relation to leadership and capability development.
Proven analytical and research skills, issue identification, problem solving skills and a demonstrated ability to develop innovative, sensitive and practical solutions and provide expert strategic advice to complex challenges.
Demonstrated ability to positively engage, build and nurture productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, managing challenges with integrity, diplomacy, tact, and a solutions-oriented approach.
A high level of integrity and resilience with the capacity to monitor, prioritise and meet deadlines by taking responsibility to produce quality output and timely outcomes.
