Receptionist needed to join our friendly team at our GP/Specialists medical practice.
We are looking for someone who is computer literate, has good phone skills and experience in medical reception is an advantage.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Welcoming clients and families and providing outstanding customer service
- Answering patient queries;
- Checking in patients;
- Managing incoming calls, emails, and appointment bookings
- Processing payments, Medicare claims, private health fund claims, and NDIS transactions (If any)
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
- Assisting clinicians and management with general administrative tasks
- Supporting efficient practice operations and contributing to a positive team culture
- Submitting private billing on portal.
- Setting up clinicians room's in the morning.

- Previous reception, administration, or customer service experience (minimum 1 year preferred)
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a medical, allied health, or Specialists centre
- Knowledge in MS Excel, Word
- Experience in medical software Medical Director Clinical and Pracsoft is essential
- Understanding of Medicare, and private health claiming processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently, multitasking and use initiative while contributing to a team environment
The role is 2 to 3 days per week, with flexibility to cover holiday relief and sick cover preferable.
