About Us
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced advisor to join the Communications team at The State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) who regulates three statutory insurance schemes in NSW.
The Communications team sits in the Strategic Communications and Stakeholder Engagement directorate of the State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) and is responsible for all external and internal communications.
This role will focus on supporting the delivery of SIRA’s external communication initiatives, digital content activities that improve public trust and organisational health in alignment with SIRA’s strategic direction.
Day-to-day you will:
- manage SIRA’s Salesforce Marketing Cloud account and external content calendar and support other users across SIRA
- draft a monthly external customer newsletter
- support content management of SIRA’s website, perform editing tasks, copywriting and approval workflows, and ensure all content meets WCAG accessibility requirements
- contribute to content for SIRA’s other digital channels.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement effective digital communications and engagement using a range of channels such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), the SIRA website and social media channels.
- Support effective electronic direct mail communications for key stakeholder groups.
- Monitor, maintain and champion external communication policies, agency standards and guidelines to ensure they align with relevant legislation and current practices.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and work alongside internal and external stakeholders to contribute to team and organisational goals.
- Provide timely and relevant advice to managers about communication strategies to inform decision making and achieve business objectives.
- Development of training materials and conduct internal staff training where required.
- Monitoring, reporting and analysis of data reflecting the performance of digital channels, and to support informed decision making and planning.
- Working efficiently across simultaneous projects within defined timeframes, whilst being responsive and resilient in a changing environment with competing demands.
- Managing high volume, ongoing engagement channels while exploring options for improvement or alternative approaches.

About you:
- Sollid experience in digital marketing platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud highly regarded), electronic direct mail (eDM) and other targeted communications.
- Knowledge of current and emerging trends in communications, particularly digital communications and engagement across NSW Government.
- A passion for customer focused communication with experience in translating complex information into simple, plain English content to improve customer experience.
- Experience developing content for multiple audience groups and for use in different channels.
- Experience in CMS platforms and website content administration (Squiz Matrix and SharePoint highly regarded).
- Experience in various social media channels and best practice, including writing, accessibility, imagery and community engagement.
Experience providing data and related insights using Google Analytics (GA

- The ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- The ability to be confident and proactive in escalating risks and issues.
