The Last Slice, a busy cafe in Sydney Olympic Park known for our halal-certified menu and Toby's Estate coffee, is on the lookout for a hands-on Weekend Cafe Manager to run the show during our busiest days.
If you know how to lead a team, keep customers happy, and stay cool when things get hectic, we'd love to hear from you.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing weekend cafe operations from open to close
- Leading, guiding, and supporting the team on shift
- Delivering consistently great customer service
- Assigning tasks and supervising staff throughout the day
- Handling customer questions and resolving any issues that come up
- Keeping an eye on stock levels and product availability
- Upholding food safety, cleanliness, and service standards
- Making sure orders go out accurately and on time
- Opening and closing the cafe as needed
- Keeping management in the loop on staffing, stock, and day-to-day operations
- Jumping in to help the team wherever it's needed
What we're looking for:
- Solid background in cafe, hospitality, or restaurant management
- Comfortable taking charge of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Dependable, organised, and self-motivated
- Great communicator with strong people skills
- Professional, customer-first attitude
- Confident making decisions independently
- Steady and level-headed under pressure
- Free to work every weekend
- Ready to work alongside the team, not just oversee it
- Based within 10km of Sydney Olympic Park
