We're currently recruiting multiple Civil Maintenance Workers across various levels. Whether you're experienced in the water industry or looking to transition from a related trade or operational background, we'll support your growth with training, development and career progression opportunities.
About the roles
As part of our Civil Maintenance team, you'll undertake labouring, maintenance and construction activities across Hunter Water's water, wastewater and stormwater networks.
Working as part of a close-knit crew, you'll contribute to the safe and reliable operation of essential community infrastructure.
This role requires:

Availability to work between 7:00am and 3:30pm
-
Participation in a 1-in-5 week on-call and standby roster
-
Willingness to undertake relief on-call duties
-
Residence within one hour of a Hunter Water depot to support operational call-outs
What you'll need to be successful:
Essential Criteria:
-
Experience working around water and waste water infrastructure in a construction or maintenance environment or other relevant construction and/or maintenance industry experience

Construction Induction card
-
Current HR Drivers licence OR be willing and able to obtain within 1 month of commencement

Proven capacity to work manually for an extended period including activities such as hand digging, lifting etc.

Proven ability to work effectively within small teams
-
High level of personal work ethic and commitment to safe working practices
Desirable Criteria:
-
Experience in water main and sewer main repairs, jetting procedures, valve installations, plant and truck operations, water service repairs or similar.
