Salary range: $187,569 to $274,678 p.a. (L13 - L27)
4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

About your opportunity:
The role Senior Medical Officer (SMO) involves provision of emergency and inpatient medical services for Charters Towers Hospital: in-patient (acute and long-stay), outpatient and emergency. SMOs also undertake non-clinical duties include quality improvement and patient safety related activities, mandatory training completion, continued professional development, supervision requirements for junior doctors, teaching and research.
In addition to the key responsibilities listed below, the role of the SMO is to provide such services as may be reasonably directed by the Medical Director, Service Group Director and Chief Medical Officer to all facilities within Rural Hospitals Service Group.
There are Permanent full-time and part-time opportunities, and fixed term temporary full-time and part-time opportunities up to two years, hours negotiable.

This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
