Position Description
ABOUT FULL BODY MRI
Full Body MRI is a premium private MRI clinic located in Subiaco, Western Australia. We provide full-body MRI screening examinations, musculoskeletal MRI, and preventative health imaging services to privately paying patients here in Perth.
We are intentionally positioned apart from hospital imaging departments and high-volume corporate radiology providers. Our focus is on combining excellent clinical outcomes with an exceptional patient experience. Every member of our team contributes to that standard.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The MRI Radiographer is central to both the clinical quality and patient experience at Full Body MRI. You will independently perform MRI examinations to a high diagnostic standard while providing a professional, warm and reassuring experience to every patient.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical
- Independently perform MRI examinations across a range of clinical presentations.
- Produce consistently high-quality, diagnostically valuable images.
- Maintain rigorous MRI safety practices in accordance with current standards.
- Follow established imaging protocols and contribute to their ongoing refinement.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within RIS and PACS systems.
- Liaise with the reporting radiologist where clinical or technical issues arise.
- Support quality assurance activities and participate in equipment maintenance processes.
Patient Experience
- Provide a professional, welcoming and reassuring experience from arrival through to completion of the examination.
- Build genuine rapport with patients and take the time to explain the examination process clearly.
- Support patients who present with anxiety, claustrophobia or limited prior imaging experience.
- Ensure patients feel informed, comfortable and respected throughout their visit.
- Uphold the service standards expected of a premium private healthcare environment.
- Actively contribute to the patient experience philosophy that underpins the Full Body MRI brand.
Operations
- Support the efficient day-to-day workflow of the clinic.
- Work collaboratively with administration staff, the reporting radiologist and clinic management.
- Assist with fault identification and equipment reporting as required.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant MRI safety, regulatory and professional obligations.
- Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to contribute to the broader operational needs of a small, growing clinic.
SCOPE OF PRACTICE
This role is focused entirely on MRI. The following are outside the scope of this position and are not required:
- IV cannulation or contrast administration.
- Ultrasound, CT or general radiography.
- Teaching or student supervision responsibilities.
- Research activities.
Full Body MRI does not routinely administer contrast agents. MRI examinations are non-contrast.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Current AHPRA registration as a Medical Imaging Technologist.
- Demonstrated MRI experience with the ability to work independently.
- Strong MRI safety knowledge and a commitment to maintaining a safe scanning environment.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and natural interpersonal ability.
- Demonstrated capacity to deliver a high standard of patient care.
Desirable
- Experience in private practice MRI.
- Siemens MRI platform experience.
- Musculoskeletal MRI experience.
- Experience working in a patient-focused or customer-oriented healthcare environment.

Pay: $70.00 – $90.00 per hour
