About the role
Rosemont Hotel is looking for an experienced Gaming Attendant / Venue All-Rounder to join our team in the Adelaide CBD.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is confident working in a gaming environment but is also comfortable jumping behind the bar, helping on the floor and supporting the wider venue when required.
We’re looking for someone with previous gaming and hospitality experience who understands that great service comes down to being friendly, switched-on, reliable and willing to help wherever needed.
You’ll be joining a newly renovated venue under new management, with a strong focus on gaming, sport, food, drinks and creating a great guest experience.
What you’ll be doing
- Provide friendly, professional service to guests in our Gaming Lounge
- Attend to gaming machines and assist guests with gaming-related enquiries
- Complete gaming payouts and associated procedures accurately
- Maintain required gaming records and documentation
- Follow all Responsible Service of Gambling (RSG) requirements and venue procedures
- Monitor the gaming environment and escalate concerns appropriately
- Serve drinks and provide bar service within the Gaming Lounge
- Work behind the main bar when required
- Assist with general front-of-house service throughout the venue
- Process transactions accurately using POS and cash-handling procedures
- Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming gaming, bar and FOH environment
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Follow Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA), gaming, liquor licensing and venue policies
- Work closely with supervisors and management to keep the venue running smoothly
- Be willing to jump in and help wherever needed during busy periods
What we’re looking for
- Previous gaming experience in a licensed hospitality venue is essential
- Previous bar and/or front-of-house hospitality experience
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
- Current Responsible Service of Gambling (RSG) training/certification and any required SA gaming approvals or licences
- Confidence working with gaming machines, payouts and gaming-room procedures
- Good cash-handling and POS skills
- A friendly and professional approach to customer service
- Ability to recognise and respond appropriately to responsible gambling concerns
- Comfortable working independently as well as part of a wider venue team
- Reliable, punctual and able to use initiative
- Able to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Willingness to work across gaming, bar and front of house rather than being limited to one area
- Availability to work a rotating roster including late nights, weekends and public holidays
