Boart Longyear has been a leading provider of drilling products and services to the global minerals industry for over 130 years. Based at one of our client mine sites in SA, this position will provide support to the operations in Drilling Services on all administrative tasks. On a 4 day on 3 day off roster, the successful candidate will drive the administrative logistics around new starters and current staff on mobilizations and administrative duties.
Want to know more about the role? Day-to-day duties include:
- Travel coordination, including: booking of site travel requirements for field employees and the main point of contact for all emergency travel for SA site personnel
- Site access - including booking medicals and NPC’s, flights and a accommodation
- General administrative tasks, such as: expense claims and Amex/ Visa reconciliation, raising and processing POs and invoices, filing and database maintenance
- Retrieve daily diary notes for the rigs and export data into clients DAR (Daily Activity Report) template
- Be the first point of contact for majority of situations with crew and passing along information to management if required
- Working closely with the client regarding all certs, training, ATW, EHS, inductions, Compliance etc.
- Monitoring and managing Training Matrix to ensure everyone is competent
- Work closely in management of crews with supervisors
A few other thing’s we’re looking for:
- FIFO experience desirable
- 3+ years administration experience
- Working with travel booking systems
- Understanding of working across multiple sites (desirable)
- Previous experience in high paced, complex business environments
- Must have a high level of computer aptitude including MS Office suites
- Demonstrated a strong commitment to cost control/ cost management
- Excellent written/ oral communication skills

An opportunity is available for an experienced Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Advisor to join our dynamic team, based across our client sites on an 8 day on/ 6 day off roster. This is a FIFO field-based role that partners with operational leaders to manage EHS risk in the workplace, through implementation of our EHS management systems and programs. Building a successful relationship with our customers is crucial in delivering a strong EHS culture in the field.
