Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Access Systems & Automation Technician to join our growing team.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, diagnostics, repair, programming, and support of automated access systems across residential, commercial, industrial, and community facilities.
This role requires a highly skilled technician with strong customer service skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.

Key Responsibilities
* Install, configure, and support residential and commercial access control systems.
* Program and manage access credentials, including remote controls, key fobs, proximity cards, and mobile access solutions.
* Install and configure intercom and visitor entry systems.
* Configure and support commercial access management software platforms.
* Provide customer training and operational support for access management systems.
* Install and commission automatic door systems, including the conversion of manually operated doors to automated operation.
* Install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot automatic gate systems, including sliding gates, swing gates, cantilever gates, and boom gate systems.
* Install, service, maintain, and troubleshoot garage door systems and garage door automation equipment.
* Install, service, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial roller door systems and roller door automation equipment.
* Perform locksmith services including lock installation, lock repairs, rekeying, master key systems, and security hardware upgrades.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot faults associated with access, automation, and entry management systems.
* Prepare service reports, technical documentation, and customer recommendations.

Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum 7 years of relevant industry experience.
* Proven experience working with automated access systems and field service operations.
* Strong experience with garage door systems and automation.
* Strong experience with commercial roller door systems and automation.
* Strong experience with automatic door systems.
* Strong experience with automatic gate systems, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance.
* Experience installing and programming access control systems.
* Experience with intercom and entry management systems.
* Experience providing technical support and customer training.
* Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage field service responsibilities.
* Current driver’s licence.
