About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a self-motivated team player to join the Schools Recruitment unit as part of the People and Workplace Relations (Schools) Division at the Department of Education. To be successful in this role you will be client focused and have well developed influencing and decision-making skills. Your capacity to establish and maintain collaborative relationships will be critical as well as the ability to deliver outcomes and drive change in a fast paced and complex environment. The successful applicant will have a strong attention detail, have a professional phone manner and experience working with Microsoft office, in particular word, excel and outlook.
The purpose of this role is to assist clients with operational HR processes including:

Provide technical advice and/or support

Provide advice on the appropriate interpretation of department HR policy and or HR processes relating to recruitment and staffing in a school setting

Provide administrative advice and support on a range of recruitment initiatives

Work with relational databases; including the creation of customised stand-alone excel and access databases, extraction and manipulation of data.
