About the role
You will provide high-quality specialist care across a broad range of obstetric and gynaecological services while contributing to clinical leadership, education, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives. About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Initiate and be responsible for the clinical care of patients while in the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department.
Arrange management in accordance with the best interests of the patient and family.
Contribute positively to the multidisciplinary team, treating all hospital staff and professional colleagues with courtesy and respect.
Provision of procedural care including obstetric and gynaecological surgery and colposcopy.
Participate in the roster for Staff Specialists to ensure senior cover at all times, either directly within the department, on standby or remote call. A full-time appointment is likely to consist of four 10-hour shifts per week. On call shifts may vary but are likely to occur, on average, approximately once per week. The maximum on-call shift will be 24 hours in length.
