A full-time Carpenter position is available with MC Labour, working on commercial construction sites across metropolitan Melbourne. The role involves on-site carpentry work as part of an established site crew, under the direction of the site supervisor.
- Formwork setup, stripping and reinstatement on commercial concrete pours
- Installing wall and ceiling framing, bulkheads, and structural timber components
- Reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans and specifications
- Setting out and fixing first and second-fix carpentry components
- Installing doors, frames, skirtings, architraves and fixed joinery
- Operating power tools, hand tools and small plant in line with site safety requirements
- Maintaining a clean, safe and compliant work area at all times
- Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent recognised qualification)
- Minimum 1 year Experience as a Carpenter on commercial construction sites
- Demonstrated experience with commercial formwork
- Current White Card (Construction Induction)
- Current driver’s licence and reliable transport
- Ability to read and work from construction drawings
- Strong understanding of Australian construction standards and WHS requirements
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labour for the duration of a full shift
