About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Program Cyber Security Architect to join TZV – Next Gen CAD at a pivotal time of growth and transformation. This role has been created to strengthen our security architecture capability as we design and deliver next-generation solutions within our Computer-Aided Dispatch platform. You will play a key role in defining and embedding secure-by-design principles across the program, working closely with engineering, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to ensure our systems are resilient, scalable, and aligned with industry and regulatory standards. The role will lead the development of security architecture frameworks, provide expert guidance on threat modelling and risk management, and ensure security controls are effectively integrated throughout the solution lifecycle..
The Program Cyber Security Architect will report to the Cyber Security Lead and operate as part of a multidisciplinary delivery team supporting the Next Gen CAD program. You will collaborate across architecture, engineering, and operational teams, contributing to strategic decisions and influencing secure design practices across the enterprise. While not a direct people leader role, you will provide technical leadership and mentorship to project teams and security practitioners., Your focus will include establishing architectural standards, supporting key solution design milestones, driving uplift in security maturity, and ensuring the program meets critical security and compliance objectives as it progresses toward delivery.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Define and maintain end-to-end security architecture for the Next Gen CAD platform, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and secure-by-design principles
- Conduct threat modelling, risk assessments, and security design reviews across solution components and integrations
- Provide expert guidance to delivery teams on security controls, patterns, and best practices throughout the development lifecycle\Collaborate with enterprise architects, engineers, and vendors to ensure security requirements are embedded into solution design and implementation
- Support compliance and assurance activities, including aligning with regulatory obligations, audit requirements, and internal security policies
About You
You are an experienced Cyber Security professional with a strong background in security architecture within complex, large-scale technology environments. You bring a deep understanding of designing secure, resilient systems and a pragmatic approach to embedding security into fast-moving delivery programs. With a collaborative mindset, you are comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, influencing design decisions, and translating security requirements into practical, workable solutions. You are driven by continuous improvement, stay current with emerging threats and technologies, and are confident navigating ambiguity while providing clear security direction.
The successful candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes:
- Proven experience developing and implementing security architecture in complex enterprise or program environments
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g. VPDSS, ISM, Essential Eight)
- Demonstrated expertise in threat modelling, risk assessment, and secure solution design across cloud, network, and application domains
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and guide delivery teams and senior leaders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks
